More Twitter funneh

Ok, so I used to think that Twitter was the dumbest thing out there. Things change. Twitter was marketed with the tagline “What are you doing?” and it began with a bunch of vapid hipsters texting (tweeting) about their mochaccino from Starbucks or how bored they were via their cell phones.

FF one year later and it’s running 24/7 on my desktop. Not just ONE account, but TWO. (One for me @misangela and one for Atlanta Cartoonists @atlcartoonists. Nick has @thinkweasel.)

Why you ask? Well, I’ll tell you: Twitter is one of the best promotion and commentary apps I’ve ever seen. What began as a navel gazing little distraction for texters has morphed into a way for artists, writers, musicians and businesses of all kinds to stay in close contact with customers. I’ve got feeds from writers, artists, restaurants, pubs, webcomics, comic publishers, you name it. I am cultivating relationships with comics people whom I rarely see but I stay in touch with via Twitter. Really.

But, this post is not to advertise for Twitter, it’s to share a funny exchange between Scott Kurtz and Kris Straub (read from bottom UP):

Bwahahahaha!
Bwahahahaha!

See what you’re missing? ;-)

A tweet from Gaiman!

I’ve just had a nerdgasm! I got a RE from Neil Gaiman (yes, THE Gaiman) about a pic he posted today on twitpic. Here is the twitter window (twhirl, actually):

OMG, I got a tweet from GAIMAN!!
OMG, I got a tweet from GAIMAN!!

In case any of you were wondering, YES I AM A BIG OLE NERD. But you should know that by now! SQUEE! Gaiman! ::swoon::

One More Step

Towards Weasel world domination! MUWAHAHAHAHA!!

::ahem::

Sorry, I get excited when it comes to Weasel merchandising! We got a shop set up at Spreadshirt.com to hawk Weasel Ts and buttons! Yay! We are doing this shop as a test ground for what sells best before we commit to a large order of shirts for a con.

Do us a favour and even if you don’t buy anything, go check everything out and tell me which designs/colors you like best. We’ve got both ‘regular’ t-shirts and American Apparel t-shirts available. We did this because the American Apparel shirts are way more expensive than Hanes, but WAY nicer quality cotton, so we wanted to offer both. Let me know if the extra cost of the American Apparel Ts make them too pricey or if you think it’s totally worth it.

We appreciate your support! <3

A week of WTF?

So we get back from the beach and try to get through the week. S L O W going. Monday was a blur. Tuesday we had lunch with Sonya.

Yesterday, I had lunch and shopping with Caroline which was hella fun [RED DRINK!!!], but we had to rush back so I could deal with the bug guy. Ok, you know things are out of control when the wizened old bug guy is shocked by the earwig infestation in your backyard. ::sigh::

Today, I did the krogering for the weekend and ended up dealing with the plumbers to get the drains snaked. They was naisteh!! [the drains not the plumbers] So, 20 minutes and $190 later, they are all clear. Yah. OUCH.

As I was driving home from Kroger I saw Heathen at the bus stop in front of the Clarion ghetto apartments where she and Ben live. My, how the mighty have fallen. I can only assume that her car was taken by the title pawn people or the poor thing finally died. It was near death when she pawned it because she ran it into the ground with no maintenance – shame, too, it was a Civic SI. I have to admit that I slowed down, hoping she’d recognise the car and I had a good laugh thinking about her riding the bus. I know I’m bad, but dammit, she’s such a cunt! It makes me happy that she has to take the bus. Nick saw Ben walking up to Kroger this week, too. These events are odd omens that I’m now feeling creeped out about. I’ve got to re-sage the house and shine up my amulets…

We had dinner at the Taqueria – Rob’s Friday grill special. It was grilled pork ribs with chipotle sauce and grilled pineapple. YUM!

We came home and did a pay per view movie: The Wrestler. It was awesome! The ending was a bit abrupt, but otherwise, it was was very well acted and totally worth $5. And… Marisa Tomei is HAWT!! I mean SMOKIN’. Damn!

So, yah. Long week. We are tired and burned out and just want to recharge, so don’t expect to hear much from us until next week.

I just want this frakking Mercury Retrograde to be OVER. OkThxBai!

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone!
