We had a superb weekend! Saturday was very productive: I finished oracle20-20.com for April and Nick got the taxes done. We had to PAY! Boo!! We watched Lord of War Saturday night. It was an ok movie, sort of a docudrama. It was much slower than I expected.
Sunday was yardwork early then out for the afternoon. We ate lunch at Casa Vieja, a Colombian restaurant over in a ratty ass strip mall off of Shallowford Rd, behind the Ranch 99 Market (for those familiar with the Buford Hwy Asian area). We LOVE that place! It is a well kept secret and you’d never even notice it if you weren’t looking for it. They have the best skirt steak in this town and the best grilled liver, too. And it’s hella cheap! We had the Bandesa Paisa (skirt steak, rice, beans, plaintains, fried egg and pork rind) and the Hidalgo something (thinly sliced grilled liver, onions, rice, salad and plaintains) plus 2 Club Colombia beers, a coffee and a Colombian apple soda called Postobon. All this cost us $27. The place is always packed with Colombians, which tells you it’s a good place for authentic food.
Then we hauled our stuffed asses over to Value City for some shopping. First, we checked out the 99 Cent store next to Value City and OH! What bounty! I got some Chinese silk party purses, some really cool painted chopsticks, a salt and pepper set and a heavy wooden spoon for, like $10. They have a ton of bizarre Asian plastic ware with Engrish on them. We then entered the fray at VC; they had a shoe sale as well as Easter dresses on sale. CRAZY! We rooted around and I got a couple of ss black tops and Nick got a ss button up shirt, too. (!!) He has a fear of ss button up shirts, you see, so this is a milestone!! Then. Then, my chicas, I found them! The SHOES!! They are by the same company that made the other sparkly shoes I got a few months ago!

I got a shoe high like you wouldn’t believe! I was looking at the brown model they had on display, thinking that I didn’t want more brown shoes, when the box popped open and these black silk with purple shinies were there, gleaming at me. I could hear the siren song of shoe magnificence: AAAAAAHHHHH! I gasped in awe and some guy at the end of the aisle looked at me quizzically. I told him, “Sorry! I’m having a Shoe Moment!” Tee! Once I’d put on my magical shoes, it was time to head to the strip club!
We took Dave over to Follies so we could all hang out with Evil Z, the best DJ in this damn town. We hung out and as we were sitting stage side smoking, a very cute blonde stripper named Buffy came over and leaned down. I assumed she was saying HI, like the girls usually do when I’m there, but NO, she totally BOOBIED ME!! You know, when a stripper grabs your head and puts it in between her boobs and shakes?? Well, she totally got me and I squealed with delight! Boobies! RAWK!!
Then, Dave bought us lap dances from this adorable girl named Maiya. Maiya and I had been talking about clothes and shoes (like I usually do with the girls at the club) and then she gave me the best lap dance EVAH! Honey, she rode me like a hoss! All in all, we had a wonderful weekend!
This coming weekend is Frolicon. We plan to go on Saturday, but we have a comic book event to attend in the afternoon at Criminal Records, so we’ll get down there later than we’d planned. Well, we may get down there later – or not at all. We’ve decided that if we get distracted and start having mucho fun in L5P then we may skip Frolicon all together. We’re gonna go with the flow!
