Today we’ve begun excavation [yes, I chose that word because there is much chipping involved] of the bathroom ceiling. ::shudder:: We discovered that you can get this disky thing that attaches to your drill so it becomes a disk sander! Shweet! We only have one drill, though, so Nick gets the sanding job. I will be the second unit, supplying spackle and paint to the freshly sanded surface. We’re doing 2 coats of Killz then one coat of color. I’m going to do a pale metallic blue. Of course there will be pix over at Nick’s Gallery. Next: Kitchen!
I painted the new mailbox freehand today. Heh, it’s SO crooked and, well, freehand! I’m gonna keep futzing with it and if I can’t make it better I’ll paint over all of it and get stick on numbers! I figured I’d give it a shot. Maybe mailboxes aren’t my medium… :-)
After the bad news I just wrote about, I look forward to a long weekend with my sweetie. We intend to get our tattoos on Monday. If Jet isn’t around then we’ll prolly go up the street. I’m taking the basic design from this one
and the universal symbols on the fingers of this one:
