Damn, it’s been a busy couple of weeks!
We went to KnoxVegas this weekend and saw Hannah, Chris and Jean + kids. It was lovely, as always. They are working on a fantastic idea for which I am totally supportive. Read all about it at the Memoreum Group site. Go ahead and go now while you’re thinking about it. I’ll wait…

Ok, now that you’re WAY impressed (as we were), why don’t you give me some feedback about the idea of creating a memorial for yourself?
I’m hot on the trail of 2, yes TWO new web clients this week. Just a couple of teensy brochure sites, but it’ll bring in more than enough to cover DragonCon in high style as well as pay for our “free” trip from the wankers at Spirit timeshares. I’m very stoked about that! I love the spring! Everyone wants to get a new site or get their Macs upgraded or start a new venture. It’s always the best time of the year for us. Between the logo gig we’re finishing ($500) and the collateral design (uh, that would be letterhead and biz cards for those not in the graphics trade) for that same client ($250) we’re already good for the Con. Add in the $1000 or so from the 2 new clients and the $250 from a support gig and we’re over the top. Keep in mind that all this income is totally gravy for us. We have our budget well in hand on Nick’s normal pay so all this extra stuff goes towards play and paying off our HELOC (Home Equity Line Of Credit). I LOVE IT!! W00t!
Exciting stuff, this thing MONEY that we all covet and never seem to have enough of. It’s funny that I get calls from 2 new clients a day after Nick and I spent several hours daydreaming about how we’d spend all the money if we won the lottery. :-)
Lessee, what else is going on? Well, my hair is black and magenta. We’re back on the South Beach diet for what good it’ll do. I’ve got many political gripes that will get written up when things slow down. Eh, guess that’s it for now. I’m bored of the computer/internet. I hope to write some politcal commentary later in the week.
