I watch Missy sit in the sun every day, just like my Dickens used to and it makes me smile. Nick commented once that kitties have solar batteries and I think that is just about right. :-)
I know Missy charges her batteries so she can scamper around during playtime. She loves to play ball and bird-on-a-stick. Bernie charges hers so she can sproing after prey and scamper around the yard trying to subdue that tail of hers that mocks her openly. I’ve never seen a cat spin and jump like Bernadette when that tail starts taunting her!
Now DJ, on the other hand, does not sit in a sunbeam to charge his batteries. He believes in the sleep 20 hours a day rule, which requires very little reserve power.
I love being a Kitty Mama. It brings me much happiness! :-)
