What are they thinking, indeed!

I hate fucking politicians. All of them. And their lobbyists. So, the dems are in control of Congress, but does it matter? Nooooo!

From the NYT: The Fear of Fear Itself.

We are being led by a bunch of wankers, people. WE MUST VOTE THEM OUT!!!

They all suck and we need to clean house. Vote Libertarian for fuck’s sake! Vote for anyone other than an incumbent! Even if you like ’em! Vote ’em OUT! They are obviously too pussified to actually DO anything different than what we’ve tolerated for, uh, EVER.

Just damn. What will it take to straighten out this clusterfuck of a government, anyway?

Having citizens rather than a nation of Sheeple™ would be a great start…

FGM redux

Well, not only is it not really fun to be the ad hoc leader but it really truly sucks when you’ve got to put your foot down. On someone’s head.

It’s odd how fast something can go from hunky dory to clusterfuck!

There’s a disturbance in The Force and it’s the FGM’s job to either get rid of the problem or fix it.

We’ll see which way it goes tonite. Around 6pm.

It’s really, truly a shame. But luckily (for me anyway) I’ve got no issues with doing what needs to be done – no matter what that turns out to be. As some of you know, I can be cold as ice when needed. The temperature is dropping, my friends. ::dons mittens::

OMG, too funny!

The word for today is “bellwether”. Here is the definition:

A wether, or sheep, which leads the flock, with a bell on his neck.

Does anyone besides me find that heeelarious when read right after the FGM post?

::giggle::

Baaaaaaah! Jingle jingle jingle! :-)

It’s hard work being the FGM

Especially when two of the group hook up…

I can’t imagine how I ended up the matriarch of this ragtag bunch, but it appears that I have. Weird. As Red Heather so astutely pointed out:

“Nevermind how it happened, but it did, so you need to be more aware of what you say to us. Your words have power and we listen to you.”

Well, geeze, no pressure there, huh?

I’ve been pondering this for a week now. And I still don’t really know what I’m supposed to do.

Gimme a minute, ok?

Writing and stuff

I feel like writing, but I’m having a hard time narrowing down the topics to something a) interesting and b) meaningful. There’s been a lot going on around here of late and it’s hard to write about it in a logical manner.

[…]

As I sit here gazing upon my backyard, I feel both bored and happy at once. There’s the Papa Cardinal having a bite at the big feeder. Mama Cardinal is pecking around below. Chris the Pigeon (or is it Pat?) is grazing below the feeder. The finches are all over the column feeder as well as a couple on the big feeder. A squirrel noshes below the feeder until something catches its attention and it bounds away, up into the privet. Bernadette skulks around the perimeter of the yard looking for a nap spot. It’s all very bucolic, isn’t it?

So why am I getting that trapped feeling? I think we have a great life… But somehow the stability of it all just makes me – dare I say it? – BORED.

I know this is all me. It’s the Universe poking me with a stick (a stick named Hammy, actually) and urging me to grow. Question is, grow how? I know I need to change things such as smoking and drinking too much, not exercising, dealing with my health issues and all that, but I’m so unmotivated it’s really pathetic. I also want a different career, but what do I want?

Bleh. Sometimes navel gazing can only take you so far. Perhaps Hammy the Stick can force me to move.

We shall see.
