Monsoon, pt 2

Jaysus christ it’s time to move to the desert! WTF is up with all this rain this year? I can’t even have a garden in this swamp! I’ve recorded about 8 inches of rain in my backyard in 2 days! Naturally the basement is flooded, but it’s very mild considering the amount of rain. No standing water at all, just a steady ooze towards the sump pump, which is running steadily. GAH!

Nick is feeling kinda punky today. Sore mouth and swelled cheeks make for an unhappy weasel. :-(

I didn’t write anything about the London bombings and I may not. It’s been covered so well by everyone else, I don’t think I have anything to add. These bin Laden flunkies will not be stopped. They are too numerous and in too many places. Bin Laden will not be caught and even when he dies it won’t matter. He’ll be a martyr and the terrorists will carry on with their mission. Everyone just needs to face that and deal.

Activity logs are your friend

In addition to the referrals, I also see who’s been searching for what via my search engine.

This notice is directed to someone at my husband’s office who has been pounding my site (and his) to see if SHE has been mentioned, or the company or Nick’s salary or any of the other people who work there. Let me tell you something, honey, I have better things to do than talk about NUVISION GRAPHICS on my website. (Your next search should be more fruitful.)

I know who you are and YOU OWE ME AN APOLOGY.

I expect it forthwith.

It’s pretty fucking gutless to lurk and search for information on someone’s site rather than simply ask. Don’t be such an asshat. Surveillance is bullshit – especially when it’s the spouse of the person you’re trying to spy on!!

However, there are also lots of searches for fun stuff like drama, skydiver, orange creamsicle, blue polka dots and one for “guys in a miniskirt”. I kid you not!

As for the person searching for “guys in a miniskirt”… Um, well, I don’t really know what to think about that!! LOL

Hiya!

Just a shoutout to all of you guys who come by and don’t post!

I don’t know if this is common knowledge, so let me explain how it works. I can see every single hit on this website in my referral logs. I see every search, I see every link, I see every domain. That means that I know who’s been by this week.

Here’s a partial list:
Rhonda (are you MediaOne?)
Christa (easy: Torchlake)
Cody (heh, for a hatah like you, it’s odd you’d lurk so much. Yours is army.mil.)
Andy (uswest? pacbell?)

I can’t pinpoint anyone locally since we all use comcast or mindspring or bellsouth. Who the hell is rcn.com? Or urdirect.net? There are always a bunch of odd ones that I’ve never heard of. Anyone want to claim one of the odd ones? Here they are: optonline.net, adelphia.net, jacksonville.net, arctic.ca, rcsis.com, ptsi.net, level3.net, netinc.ca, btitelecom.net, uu.net.

The isps farthest away this week are nextra.sk and net.au. I think. If .au is australia and sk is sweden? Anyone know?

I can also see the searches that were done and it appears that Rachel Ray is a very popular search query right now! I’ve gotten quite a few hits from those searches leading to the recipes I posted.

I just love referral logs!

I’m such a geek! :-)

Browser Stats

For those of you who don’t think Firefox is making gains on that tired old MicroSux browser, behold, my current browser stats:

Browser shares in 05
Browser shares in 05

Looks to me like Firefox has encroached on Safari’s share for Mac users as well, since the Safari stats have dropped a bit in the last few months. Now, if they’d separate Firefox Mac from Firefox PC I could really get an idea of who’s using what.

Business and the ‘net

It’s always busy in the first quarter of the year and this year is no exception. Besides all the personal stuff going on, IndigoDragon Enterprises has been chugging along nicely as well.

I’m in the last leg of the Baseline Solutions corporate identity gig with only labels and mugs to layout left to do. The business cards turned out beautifully. I got them done at Imagers.com, who I highly recommend. In addition, this print house is here in Atlanta, which means really fast turnaround times. SWEET!

Crescent Moon is opening the second store next week and I just finished the revamp of the website for that. The site is getting a LOT of traffic, most likely from applicants using the online application. I’m happy that it’s a busy site. I like it when my stuff is seen!! Oh, which reminds me, I need to put my little ad in there! LOL

Now that things are starting to slow down, I need to revamp my own site (indigodragon.net) and update the portfolio, etc. I also plan to do some google ads to see how that works. I may do some google ads here at misangela.com in the future as well. Why not? Everybody else does!! LOL
