Referral time again

I’m poking around my referral logs today to see who’s been lurking around here. Dunno if you know this, but your latitude/longitude is some of the info listed. So, I see this listing from 1dial.com in Kite, GA. Kite? Where the hell is that? So I google the coordinates and see that it really is a place in the ass end of nowhere: east of Macon off of I-16, between Dublin and Statesboro. The person also uses a Mac, which caught my eye.

Who are you, 1dial.com? You log in from various locations around I-16… ?

Lessee, as for searches, we’ve got several ‘exercise dvd’, ‘comic porn’ (LOVE that one!), ‘cambridge who’s who’, another one for ‘SUE cambridge who’s who’, damn, another for ‘cambridge who’s who fraud’… There are many for cambridge and its various incarnations – I hope those scamming mofos are ready to bolt, cuz the lynch mob is forming!

Tuesday

This last weekend was alternately busy and lethargic. Friday we got toasted and watched movies. Saturday we got up and did the boxing dvd then just hung around here and admired the snow – all 1 inch of it. Heh. We worked on geeky stuff all day and watched movies. Sunday was a social day: Kate’s dad came over to chat about his computer and some business ideas then V came over for us to install a cd burner in her Mac. We got into the wine and drank quite a lot of it! LOL

Yesterday was a holiday (MLK) and it was Nick’s day off so we futzed around here in the morning. Then Nick realised he was getting spam bombed at the nickmizgala.net domain so we spent some time wrangling that. His domain was spoofed by a spammer, which means that they used his domain as the return address for all their spam, so when most of it bounced back, it bounced to HIS domain, not the spammer’s. Bastard. We got that handled and took off for comics and Vortex.

Basically a normal weekend for us other than the snow, of course. As I predicted, the front page of the AJC had someone sledding. It was 100% guaranteed. There were pitiful little snowmen all over the place! We did see a Snow SheMale in a truck at the Vortex, but of course Nick has the pic. He’s such a photo hog! ;-)

The best workout dvd ever

Over xmas, we were digging around at Ross and came upon the discount dvd bin. I got a couple of Fitness Essentials dvds (fitessentials.net DON’T bother!) which totally sucked, but I also got Kathy Smith’s Aeroboxingâ„¢ and kickboxing dvd.

This particular dvd is a combo of the Aeroboxingâ„¢ and kickboxing, as you can see from the Amazon page. The Aeroboxingâ„¢ part is with Michael Olajide, Jr and it totally rocks (it’s part of his Aero exercise empire). It’s an old dvd (1995) but it’s new to me. It was rated as the best exercise video available when it came out and I believe it. 30 mins with this dvd and you’ll definitely get your blood pumping. It’s boxing, boxing and more boxing. AWESOME!

Sep 09: Since this entry gets so many hits, let me also add that beachbody.com has the latest dvd craze: P90X. It’s the same company that does the Kathy Smith stuff and this new program is getting all sorts of attention for being well done and effective. If you want quality exercise dvds, Beach Body is your best bet. :-)

The kickboxing part is intense, as well. Even the warm up is hard. For me, if it’s not very challenging, I’m bored. These two workouts are VERY challenging and I am really enjoying them.

Watch out, pretty soon I’ll be able to kick your ass! Teehee!

OMG, it really happened!

I just got a call from Judge Alex to go on their show with the small claims suit I’ve filed against the guy that owes me about $600!

Ha! Apparently they troll the small claims suits that are filed and try to get the suit tried on the show. The trick is that if you win, the defendant does NOT have to pay – the claim is paid on the spot by the show. Getting the money all at once is very appealing, but it sort of ruins the point of the suit. I want the person to PAY! Also, I’m sure the defendant would relish TV time in lieu of paying me.

So, NO. Even if it takes years to get the money, I’d rather deal with garnishment than let this person get off scot-free.

I gotta say, though, it was damned funny to get that call! I’m still giggling!
