Tuesday is Monday

We had a wonderful weekend at home, doing home projects and personal projects. It’s our long weekend, so today is Monday for us. Bleh.

We saw Cars on Saturday afternoon, since it was too hot to work outside. It is GREAT! I highly recommend it! Pixar has done some amazing work with animation! Each film gets better and better. We got there late due to the long line at concessions and missed the short, but we plan to see the movie again. If you like animation, you’ve got to get off yer ass and see this in the theatre. It’s well worth putting up with the roomful of sniveling brats and rude black people – and that’s saying a lot!

We totally finished putting sealant on the deck this weekend. We found this stuff by Behr that is a stain/sealant together and it RAWKS. It should for $30/gallon! It has silicone in it and it sealed up our crappy, dead deck. We chose the darkest thing they had: cedar. The deck looks new with the new top rail and it being leveled. Ah! We are all about bandaids to this place and for about $80, we’ve rehabbed a dead deck! Yay! We’re still going to re-do the frame which has come loose from the house and worked loose in general and we may replace the floor at some point. The frame is an easy job so we’ll get it done this week.

We did our standard Vortex thing yesterday in the pouring rain – it was lovely! We came home and did NOTHING for the rest of the afternoon!

Today, we have a meeting with the owner of Masada Bakery, which will hopefully land us a web gig for them. I have to put together a menu of web services for him, so I gotta jet.
