I’ve got to give a shout out to Mr Ian Trowell of the UK for solving a big question I’ve had for years! In a story that I will tell here in the near future, I’ll talk about a fair ride that I rode at the Tennessee Valley Fair back in the 80s. I could describe the ride, but I didn’t have a name. Well, after a few hours of internet scrounging, I came across a site dedicated to fair (or carnival) rides. They didn’t have the ride on the site, but there was a contact email that led me to the ever so helpful Mr Trowell.
So, the ride is here, if you’d like to see it. It’s the Skydiver and it’s fun as hell.

Wasn’t that thing called the zipper? I remember something like this, but it was not round like a ferris wheel, but elongated…..
