Treadmills!

As you know the ProForm Cx10i treadmill we had finally got so many issues that we had to get rid of it. I found another ProForm on Craigslist that we decided to buy. The girl was teh dumb and could not figure out what model it was (uh, try the BIG 2″ LETTERS ON THE FRONT, TARD!) but I took a chance and decided to buy it even though I couldn’t find the HSN model # online. She came down from $500 to $400, and the thing is brand new, so we took the plunge.

We went to pick it up yesterday and got the correct model #, which is 680 LT. I still couldn’t find the model in the TreadmillDoctor.com database, but did a search for it and found out it’s a $1299 treadmill!

The chick paid $669 or so from HSN in March – which explains why she said it was a “great deal” when she bought it. Well, without a model number (HSN is notorious for not having model #s on their site) it was difficult to surmise which unit she had, so I’d been looking at the $699-799 models, assuming you wouldn’t save more than a coupla hundred on HSN. Man, was I wrong!

We are thrilled and impressed with this new Rack. It’s whisper quiet other than the screaming beeps when you make selections. It’s got a stereo system and the beeps are run through it – without volume control, apparently. Not only do we now have a $1300 treadmill for $400, but it’s never been registered, so we get the full warranty coverage, too. SHWEET!

So despite this weekend starting off rough, it ended up with us getting a spooty new Rack and getting rid of the old one, too! Some guy from Freecycle picked it up with his Ford Probe (it actually fit!), saving us from having to haul it to Salvation Army. YAY! I love it when a plan comes together!
