So, once again, the subject of wind power came up…
What is the frelling problem with it?? I simply cannot understand why the midwest all the way to the west coast is not covered with turbine farms. Seriously. WTF? Firstly, they are soooo beautiful! The turbines turn very slowly – not what you’d think, eh? – and they are absolutely lovely. Really. They are huge and tall and very languid. Look:

What is so horrible about them? They are very tall, so you can graze cattle or grow crops around them. Why isn’t the whole midsection of this country and most of California covered with them? I just don’t get it.
Yes, Alaska has some oil. But it’s a drop in the bucket compared to what this country sucks up. Yes, Canada has oil, but it’s not being extracted yet. So, why in the world aren’t we putting these turbines EVERYWHERE to gather up the wind power? WHY?
I’ll tell you why. It’s the godsdamn environmentalists bitching about birds flying into them and “they are an eyesore.” I say BULLSHIT. They are actually really beautiful. If I could have one in my yard, I totally would. I think the turbines are hypnotically beautiful. I had to pull off the road to admire them! They spin very slowly – not what you would expect – and they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
Why don’t we have them in all that farmland that is unused? Or even the farmland that is used? There is no reason you couldn’t have cattle grazing beneath them. There is no reason you couldn’t grow crops around them. The only thing holding them back is the stupid assholes who are so short sighted that they don’t get it. The environmentalists and the politicians who are on their payroll are the problem.
My gods, I’d rather see acres upon acres of these lovely turbines than coal strip mines or Alaska dug up!
What the hell is wrong with people? Why would anyone block the use of turbines? It’s stupid.
The one thing this country has in unlimited supply is wind from the midwest all the way to California. Have you ever driven out I-40? LOTS of wind, folks.
Lobbying against using the wind that is plentiful is ridiculous. This country needs to get a clue.

I, for one, welcome our explody wind-turbine overlords.
