Ok, so to have a “healthy” BMI, a 5’4″ female should weigh no more than 145#.
I’ll wait for the hysterical laughter to subside…
WTF?
I’ve not seen 145 since I was around 21 years old!! So, this means that I’m doomed to an unhealthy BMI for the rest of my life. Good thing I think BMI is a totally unreasonable way to judge health. :-) The insurance companies wield it as a way to charge higher rates, which invalidates it completely for me.
If get down to the weight I’m going for (more than 150, I can tell you!), my BMI will still be in the “overweight” range, which is totally moronic. Hell, if I lost down to 150, that’s in the “overweight” range!! BULLSHIT!!
Excuse me while I go take a phenteramine… :->

BMI charts suck. I’ve been having some success with Dreamsfield pasta products. Taste like regular pasta but they don’t have a lot of digestible carbs. I’ve read that whatever they ae doing to block the carbs is affected if you cook them in tomato sauce so I avoid doing that.
BMI is moronic and i don’t know the US uses it as our ‘fitness’ standard. I am a personal trainer and I weigh 180 and am only 5ft 6. I am obese.. HAHA, i am actually 5% bodyfat but that chart shows me as obese. I am actually not overly muscular since I have been training for a marathon and have dropped 10 lbs. Don’t let those stupid stats get to you.
