I just called the Hyatt to see if the suite we got bumped up to had one bed or two. Ermin, the groovy reservations manager answered the phone. So, I gushed thank-yous for bumping us up to a suite and asked him about the bed. He said that we only had a king. I said, bummer, that won’t work, so he looked around for the other suites. They were all booked. I said, well, that’s ok, we’ll just get a cot.
Then Ermin says, “Oh, no need for that! I want you to be comfortable. Here, I’ll just give you the adjoining room with the suite.”
Yes, friends and neighbors, we now have a suite AND an adjoining room!! People, get ready to parTAY!
We will be hosting a party in the room at some point. Prolly Sat, but maybe Fri. We’ll see.
I cannot believe it! I think ol’ Ermin is a short timer at the Hotel because when I invited him up to the room for drinks at the Con, he said “if I’m still here in September, I will”. That would explain the bountiful rooms of plenty! If he’s leaving, then what does he care?
The universe is definitely all about the Yin/Yang balance, isn’t it? Yesterday I crash my car, today I get a free room at the con. Just damn!
