We had such a fun-filled weekend! Very tiring, but very fun. Friday night, we went to a cd release party at Encyclomedia in Candler Park. The space there is just fabulous! It’s a recording studio and much more and the party was rockin’. We didn’t intend to stay as late as we did, but the headlining band,Big Jack Pneumatic, was so much fun we just couldn’t leave!
I had to work both Friday AND Saturday, natch, so after a very long Saturday at the Moon on 4 hours sleep, I was pretty dead. But there was no time for worrying about that because Big Jack was throwing a party Saturday night up in Smyrna. It was a ton of fun and I got to get my music on with the band members. We all talked about the business and their respective instruments and techniques. It was good.
At both parties, I ran into Ken of SonicDreams and Creative Loafing fame. We got to chat for quite a while at the band party Saturday night and it was really good to reconnect after a few years!
