Is it any surprise?

Is it really any surprise at all that Dubya put one of his lapdogs in the Supreme Court slot? This Miers woman has NO experience, NO background to support this appointment and NO business being in the highest court in the United States.

All Dubya can say about her is that she’s a nice lady and I’ve known her for a long time. Oh yeah? Well, that makes me feel so much better!

Back door blues

Heh, ok all you sluts, get your mind outta the gutter! I mean my REAL back door, sillies!

Nick and I had to replace our back door this weekend because the one that was up was literally coming apart at the seams. We took on this task as one that would be kinda hard, but very doable. Hrm… Well, today is day FOUR of the door odyssey and it’ll be a bit more before we’re done. Oh, big shout out to Robert for stopping by Saturday and helping us get started!

It’s good to be reminded

I do the Oracle 20/20 website. Oracle is a little metaphysical magazine local to Atlanta. They have a very good bookstore and they are a hub for psychics, astrologers, etc. Nice people.

Anyway, most of the time I read the articles and think, “yah, whatever”, but occasionally there is one that hits the nail on the head.

This month, there is an article by Rhiannon Waits called Catawba Woman’s Wisdom.

Talk about giving me a cosmic bitchslap! I needed to be reminded that not everyone wants to listen to what I have to impart and it’s not my job to keep retracing my steps to tell them again. It’s a waste of energy.

Yet another reason

… to NOT upgrade MT. If Wil Wheaton can’t do it, then I certainly can’t! Besides, you don’t “upgrade” MT, you reinstall it and then hope to the gods of cgi, php and MT that your crap will import. Even if it does, then you still have to redo all your CSS by hand. ::shudder:: In other words, it’s just like the first time you painstakingly installed the shite, but with the added stress of losing all your frelling entries and/or frelling your database. Nice!

Nawp, I think I’ll just be a luddite and stay with this “old, crappy” version of MT that works like a champ and has given me no issues thus far.

Everybody is hollering about how great WordPress is, but again, I’d have to redo every single thing, plus pray that my entries make it through the import.

I ain’t got time!
