Suck it, TSA!

When I call and email politicians, you know I’m pissed. The intertubes have been alight with posts about TSA abuses this week, which is all fine and good, but that does NOTHING to actually stop the abuse. This is the main issue, I think, with Americans. Posting on the internet does NOT send a message to the politicians, contacting them directly is the only way to let them know that they have gone too far.

The stories of abusive, invasive and demeaning pat downs by untrained, low paid TSA staff are numerous. The video of a little girl being groped and crying “Stop touching me!” have been expunged from every source that posted it, which tells you that it is just more damning evidence of a[nother] government agency run amok. Here is the FlyerTalk forum for stories about abuse (sadly, many of the posters have no idea that this abuse is ILLEGAL).

And to top it all off, our illustrious president wants TSA workers to unionize. What a moron. I try to be nice about the man, but he’s really clueless about most everything. All he sees are workers who want to unionize (always a far left fave). He doesn’t have to deal with the abuse from those assholes, so what does he care? Letting them unionize will make airports even less safe and will allow any and all abuses of the public to go unaddressed.

Yes, it’s a fine mess. And those perfectly safe (LIE) virtual strip search scanners? Yah, the promise that “scans will NEVER be saved”? You can forget that, too. Here’s the first 100 pix that have been “leaked”. Fortunately for those whose naked bodies were published, the asshats that saved the scans also didn’t have the scanner set up right, so the scans are not clear.

If all this evidence isn’t damning enough for you, may I suggest that you, too, are a moron? Anyone who’d put up with this blatant abuse of power by our government should have their voter card revoked. There is neither reason or justification for our government to treat its citizens like common criminals. Nor is there reason or justification for our government employees to unionize to further insulate them from being held accountable for abuses of power.

These TSA employees are semi-literate, untrained, low paid government employees. I know personally from a source who worked with the hiring company for TSA that they dumbed down the application tests THREE TIMES so they could find enough people to fill the positions. There are cursory at best background checks. The training for the full monty pat downs was one class.

These people want to unionize to insulate themselves from citizens’ complaints. Once they are a government union, there will be absolutely nothing for a citizen to do when abused by these low level employees with unlimited power. Just think about it: a person who may not have graduated high school and has had minimal training has the power to grope you, demean you and ultimately detain you.

Does that make sense to you? Well, it must make sense to the majority of the flying public since they have allowed the TSA to keep escalating their “security”. It’s not security, it’s security theatre. And it must work, since sheeple believe it’s really helping. Then get your lazy ass to contacting your politicians and bitching about this abuse of your rights. Suggest the TSA be dismantled and that money put to intelligence efforts where it will be USEFUL. Don’t be nice. These assholes are the ones pushing for the war on terror in the first place. And they’re doing it wrong.

Hidden News

So I’m perusing the AJC this morning and in the very back of the Business section there is a small blurb about the Connecticut US District court upholding a judgment against Pratt & Whitney, basically forcing them to remain in CT rather than move their manufacturing plants where they (P&W) want to move them.

The original case press release from Jan 15, 2010 entitled “Attorney General Says Pratt & Whitney Proved In Court Its Own Failures To Lawfully Protect CT Jobs” asserts that the company “breaches its collective bargaining agreement” with the Union and therefore should be compelled to remain in CT for the remainder of the Union agreement. The victory was applauded for forcing Pratt & Whitney to cater to the Union. From the Ameriborn Constitution News: “Congressman Joe Courtney [Dem] joined the members and leadership of the International Association of Machinists (IAM)…[to say to P&W] A deal is a deal.”

Why is this significant? It’s significant because a) it was buried in the paper and b) it is a very significant move by our judicial system to award control of PRIVATE COMPANIES to Unions and the government.

When the courts start awarding control of private companies (and banks) to the government (or Unions), this is a very disturbing lean towards fascism. If you’ll recall, our lovely politicians just changed the rules about how much money Unions can spend on political lobbying and/or advertisements. I also love how it’s the fucking Democrats who are pushing this agenda!! WTF?

Taken separately, these two items are easily overlooked or dismissed, but taken together, I think it is showing a very disturbing trend. Hmm, lessee, let’s allow the Unions (and corporations, too) spend as much as they want to get their bought and paid for candidate in office. THEN let’s start setting judicial precedent for allowing Unions and the government to force private companies to have plants where they are told and to bow to the Unions – or risk punishment.

These things together equal FASCISM. Plain and simple. It’s funny that the Democrats – who are always pointing fingers at the Republicans for being Nazis – are the very ones pushing for government seizure of banks and corporations. It’s like Nick says, you go far enough to the right OR left and you will end up with authoritarianism. I agree wholeheartedly.

Does anyone else think these are Very Bad Things to be happening? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

He can dish it, but…

He certainly can NOT take it. Boortz uses his Twitter feed as a dump for all the nasty shit he can’t say on air. He does not understand the point of Twitter and his tweets are horrible. So this morning, I sent him a tweet about how his tweets sound and he, in typical big mouth fashion, didn’t understand what I said, pitched a fit and blocked me. I took the time to write out explanatory tweets, but I’m sure he’s too good to read them.

Yah, he can dish it but gets all pissy when someone calls HIM out. What a total and complete prima donna. He ASSUMES because I’m on Twitter, that I *must* be a liberal or something, since I dared to call him out. I’m FAR from liberal – I’m actually a LIBERTARIAN, like he is! Obviously, he has no problems alienating even his own group! He does exactly what he constantly RAILS about: react before thinking and ignoring any opinion other than his own. Methinks he has smelled his own farts for far, far too long!

HYPOCRITE. He’s no better than Limbaugh or the other GASBAGS that spew bullshit on Talk Radio all day long. (This does NOT include Clark Howard, who is a nice guy and would NEVER behave like the narcissistic talk show assholes.)

COPS on Maplehurst!

Last night we had our own episode of COPS in front of our house! Sadly, it wasn’t as exciting as it sounds. There were no escape attempts or guns pulled or even much yelling. Cops do feel the need to be LOUD, I’ve noticed. I tweeted the whole thing as it was going on, so I’ll just give you the tweets:

Woo, we got some po po action in da ‘hood! Dekalb pulled over a white caddy and then hauled off the driver. 3 cop cars? Must be a slow nt!

Too bad all this is in front of my house, so we’re compelled to watch. It’s not COPS action fer sure. Boooring. And loud. :-(

And now: FOUR cop cars! Oooo I think the brothas are having a bad night. They are currently arguing w/the fuzz. Never a good idea!

Heh, the cops have called the tow truck. I think all the crackheads have been hauled off. Cop said it was simple traffic stop until…

The crackpipes were found! Oopsie! I’m just happy the cops are actually patrolling my street!

We could hear some of the louder conversation, like when the cop was demanding to know if one of the crackheads owned the car and the crackhead was arguing. We also heard the cops talking to each other about the crackheads being scared when they realised they’d been busted. The whole thing lasted about 20 minutes. 3 crackheads were hauled off and the car was impounded, naturally.

Obamacare and other stupidity

We got very lucky last week with MA getting all Republican on the Dems ass. Yes, LUCKY. For all you hippies and takers out there who cannot understand basic economics, we are lucky that Obamacare has been more or less abandoned because now we won’t get taxed to death. Make no mistake, any sort of all encompassing plan will cost us one way or the other. There is no such thing as free money, although the American Sheeple seem to think so.

It is hilarious to me how the Dems scattered like my cats from the water bottle when they suddenly realised that a) they can’t cram this moronic plan down our throats and b) we are pissed. Of course my district is 99.9% Democrat and I won’t get to vote otherwise come election time, but I can damn sure vote anti-incumbent and anti-democrat on everything else. If the Libertarians would get GOING, now is the time to introduce a third party. [Yes, I know that is never gonna happen.]

There was yet another incident of turning a plane around due to “terrorism” last week. For fuck’s sake, people! The kid was saying his fucking prayers! JAYSUS! Stupidity of the flight attendants caused the fiasco and they should be punished. The fucking airlines need to hire people with more than a GED and then they should, oh, I dunno, TRAIN THEM. And Pilots should not call out jets and make unsafe, unscheduled landings just because a flight attendant is too dumb to understand what a prayer box is. The whole crew of that flight should be held accountable for disrupting the travel plans of a whole plane full of people due to their ignorance. It’s a shame the American Sheeple put up with this sort of bullshit.

I’m ashamed to live in a country where ignorance is accepted as the norm. It’s all about entitlement and not having to be accountable for yourself. What ever happened to working for what you get and paying for your way? I know I’m kinda old, but damn, how can people become sheeple in such a short time? Boggles the mind.
