Again with the phones!

What have I bitched about with the phones, people? You MUST tell me who you are! I do NOT pay for caller ID and I do NOT use a cell phone, as odd as that may seem. So, when you call me and start talking – I do not know who the hell you are. Sometimes I ask, sometimes I just nod and agree and get off the phone. I figure if the mystery caller had a clue, they’d tell me who the fuck they are!!

Oy, vay, I tell you cell phones have ruined any shred of civility that people had about phone etiquette. People call me quite often and just start talking. Now, if I talk to you on the phone a lot (Caroline, Heather, Russ, Emily, Nick, etc.) I’ll know who you are, but if I don’t talk to you often, I probably won’t. Sometimes I can figure it out obliquely as the person talks, but sometimes I really don’t know. And frankly, sometimes I get really annoyed and just want to hang up. I’ve got my phone call peeps and I’m good with them, but I don’t want everyone to turn into phone callers. I’d pull my hair out! As of today, I’m screening all calls. So, if you get the machine and want to talk, I’d advise announcing who you are or leaving a msg. Or better yet: EMAIL ME!

So, for all of you who are new to the Misangela Ride, be advised: don’t call me all the time and do not just start talking to me! ARGH!

I’m an emailer. I’ll email you 15x a day, but I do NOT want to sit and chat on the godsdamned phone. I just don’t. So, if you are a phone caller, get yerself an email account and start typin’ beeyoch!

I love all of you, I truly do, but the serial phone callers and just-start-talking-ers are making me CRAZY.

Do not meddle in the affairs of Misangelas for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.

That is all.

  1. i’m working on getting back to mail (and thanks for the exception, btw :-P) – i think it’s cause i’m so impulsive that i reach for the phone first.

for friends anyways, for company interaction, banking, etc, i am 1000x more likely to contact via intrawebs.
