I made our reservation for DragonCon last week via the 800#. It never works out well because those people don’t work in the local Hyatt and they don’t see all the actual booking info, they only see part of it. I had to book 4 nights rather than 3, etc. etc. So, today I called and talked to Internal Reservations, which is the actual reservation desk at the Hyatt Downtown and not only did I get the res changed to 3 nights, but the Reservation Manager remembered me from last year and he gave me a FREE UPGRADE to a suite!! W00t!
So we’re booked into a suite on the THIRD floor for the Con! How bad ass is that!
Yah, last year, we had some issues (see this entry) with the safe in our room and our checkout so the Res Manager told me to ring him this year for a free upgrade and he did it! I can’t believe it! I gotta say, the Hyatt’s Customer Service has always been good to me. They do what they say and they are really nice, too. It’s a breath of fresh air when most “service” these days is surly and uncooperative. I just love the Hyatt! :-)
The Russ is planning to get one of those little safe boxes this year so that we won’t have to worry about that kinda crap. That was a heart attack moment.
