We have so many friends from NOLA that I wanted to post about Hurricane Katrina.
They finally had some pics of NOLA today in the paper. Wow. I couldn’t tell where the French Quarter was, but I could tell that everything is submerged.
Russ, Caroline, Dru, Pat and everyone else: we are sending all the good mojo we have to your families down there. We’re glad that most people are accounted for and we hope the rest turn up when communications resume.
You guys just hang on, we’ll get through this. Nick and I are here for all of you in whatever way we can help. We love you and we hope that your families are safe.
We will lift our glasses in fine NOLA tradition this weekend. Your city will not be the same, but it *will* be resurrected.
I think we should initiate a toast in the bar of the Hyatt for NOLA. It’s only fitting.
