8.21.12: they have still not updated the street view pics. The house is green now and has lots of landscaping. I doubt they’ll get to remapping it before we’re gone. Too bad. Here it is in Aug 2012:
Man, I love satellite photos! I was looking up a photo for Nick to use for a project and I looked up our little house in the ‘hood.
The maps.google.com site is still in beta and apparently using archived images, because this one is a few years old. There are 2 houses across the street that have been there for at least 3 years that are not in that image. [It was finally updated around 3 yrs ago. -A 6/09]
When I can find an updated image, I’ll pull it to show you from above how much work we’ve done on the yard at this place. You can actually SEE the house, now that we’ve removed all the scrub and cedar trees that were crowded around it. :-)
