This is the first crappy Memorial Day weekend I can remember. It started raining yesterday and pretty much ruined the Decatur Arts Festival – where Nick and I were volunteering. It was rainy and COLD!
We came back here, napped, then attended Beth’s party with everyone, which was great fun despite the weather. No shrimp on the barbie, but still lots of yummy shrimps prepared in various ways: cocktail, stuffed/breaded, bbq.
I’m the first up this morning (??) so I’m tooling around the internet waiting for everyone else to get up. Caroline and Dru stayed over with us after the party last night and we intend to have our shrimp on the barbie today, dammit! We’ll have to move the cars out of the carport and cook there. It’s still cold today (60ºF) but we’re gonna cook out anyway. Take THAT icky weather!!
Mmm, kabobs, burgers, shrooms, sausages, corn! Damn, I’m starved, I wish everyone would wake up!!
