MissingFOUND kitty!

NEW STORY:
Around 7pm last night, we were in the backyard when our neighbor came home. He was futzing in his backyard, so I called him over and asked if he’d open up his crawlspace to see if Missy had gone in last night. He did and she bounded out of there, SO HAPPY to be set free. Then, in her jubilation, she tried to climb the chain link fence and cut the shit out of her little back foot. So, when it didn’t stop bleeding after 2 hours, I decided to take her to the Emergency Clinic to see about sutures or whatever. Well, they are HELLA expensive ($99 to walk in the door) and their proposal was a $500 bill for 3 or 4 sutures. So, instead we patched her up, gave her antibiotics and some pain meds and I paid $230 to the nice lady as we left. ::sigh::

Today we’re off to our regular vet to get the toes sutured and all that. Prolly for another $250 vet bill. Well, no matter, I’m so relieved to have her back that I really don’t care about the money.

She’s back, she’s basically ok and once we get her foot fixed up, then it’ll just be keeping her from chewing it via the lovely e-collar. Which she hates.

Ah, who needs human kids? I’ve got 3 four-legged ones that keep me quite busy, thanks. :-)

OLD STORY: My lil tuxedo kitty, Missy, disappeared last night. I’m beside myself with worry and heartbroken to think that I’m losing another cat after Dickens last year. Missy stepped in when Dickens died and gave me tons of kitty luv, which helped me a lot.

Occasionally Bernie will disappear for a day. Even DJ will do it every now and then. But Missy is not interested in going off. She stays in the yard, on the porch or on her chair. She NEVER misses a meal. EVER.

This has really pushed all my buttons. I’ve been crying off and on most of the day and I just can’t concentrate to do anything other than silly internet crap like read my Tribe account or LJ or post here.

It’s been almost 24 hours. I pray she’ll come back. She’s my constant companion – much more so than DJ or Bernie. Those 2 do their own thing. Missy is always close by and everywhere I look I think of her.
