One Day Away

Give or take a few hours. I think we’ll be allowed to buy our house on Friday at 2:30pm. Our payment for a piddly $100,000 loan will be $915 until we file for the Homestead Exemption to bring down the property taxes – at which point will bring the payment to a still high $840 or so. Waaaaay too high of a payment for that size loan. But we have no choice in the matter (as they know) so we soldier on.

I got the perfect parttime job today. I’m now working the desk at Mimosa Spa down the street on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and every other Saturday. Except for Monday, the weekday hours are late in the day, so it leaves me plenty of time to pursue the other p/t job I got last week: selling coffee for Michael’s Coffees. I don’t know what will come of the coffee job, it’s gonna be commission and I’m not sure of the market, but I’ll give it a shot. With the steady income from the Spa, I’ll have the extra mortgage expense covered no matter what. Yes, I’m still a consultant, but even consultants need a steady stream, ya know?

And all this means that I’m going to cut loose Crescent Moon. ::sigh:: I really love the people there, but I can’t get any hours and it hogs up each and every weekend. I’ll still be the webmistress and all that and there may be some admin work in it for me at a later date, but for now that job’s got to go. I’ll miss it in an odd way.
