How did this happen? It was Monday just a couple of days ago! ACK!
It’s official: I’m out of my freaking mind with this house thing. I’m not myself right now, people, so if you tell me something important, please, please make sure I write it down!!
I screwed up the closing date, I screwed up several hundred letters I did for Christmas Decatur (which had to be redone) and I feel all lunatic fringe-y!
I did, however, manage to get some other stuff done without incident, but it’s tough for me right now. So, please bear with me. And buy me MANY drinkies!!
Here is a pic of our little bungalow. Isn’t it the cutest? :-)
All that brushy stuff in front of the windows is going to be removed as well as that nasty old cedar tree to the left as soon as we can afford to have a professional do it. That large tree to the right is a cottonwood, which is a bit rare in the city. It’s a water-loving tree that usually lives near rivers and lakes. It makes a heinous mess with its HUGE leaves and seed balls, but I’m happy to have an unusual specimen in my yard! That’s about it for the landscaping of the bungalow. The back yard, while large, has nothing in it other than privet hedge gone amok and green grass. I’m so stoked to have a big yard to play in!
Ok, the truck is booked for Sat, Dec 27th, so mark your calendars to help us that day if you can. We’ll be moving all weekend, but we’ll do the bulk of it that day. There will be beer and pizza (or something edible) for all who attend our Moving Extravaganza, so please join us!
