Autumn has arrived!

Wow, it’s actually chilly this morning! I slept like a rock last night and feel quite refreshed today – although the pain in my ovary area is making me cranky. Dr C poked around there pretty hard yesterday and it is sore today. :-(

I have to say, though, despite the poking, Dr Callaway is probably the best Dr I’ve ever had. She’s about my age, funny, straightforward and VERY knowledgeable. She truly does see the whole picture and her practice is aptly named: Holistic Gynecology. I got a new pain med to try for the nasty cramps – and it’s FREE as long as I do their little patient surveys. Yay! She also told me to try Thuja for skin tags, which I will do. I really like her ability to see the forest not just the TREE, which is a skill most Drs have lost. Just like Nick’s heart palpitations. They tested for abnormalities, found none, offered beta blockers ANYWAY (“If it will make you feel better to take something you can have a script, but you don’t really need it.” WTF?) then pronounced it “normal”. Um. Right. You know things are frelled when a Pakistani immigrant complains about the shitty care here and wants to go HOME for treatment. Damn.

We’ve got the trip to San Francisco right around the corner and I honestly could not care less. I am not excited to go and if I could, I’d cancel it completely. But tix are bought, so go I shall. But I could really skip it.

I think I’ll run errands today. I need hair stuff, another pair of fat jeans, supplements and maybe a small grocery trip. I should do the fucking Rack, but why? It feels futile and that just exacerbates my rather depressed mood. Perhaps some hair color will perk me up. I am sick to death of this nasty washed out purple-now-it’s-pink with lovely roots. Yah, hair abuse always makes me feel better.

Off to color!
