Wheaton (@wilw) made a tweet the other day about singer/songwriter Theresa Andersson and after hearing her music and especially watching the YouTube videos, I’m a fan.
She is Swedish, but makes her home in New Orleans, LA, where she’s been for 13 years. She has a few records out, but this particular effort (Hummingbird, Go!) is an intricate dance of tracks and live playing that she does on the fly. You really must see the video to appreciate it. (She owns her domain theresaandersson.com, but there is no site up, FYI.)
I’m keeping an eye on her gig schedule – this is one show I wouldn’t want to miss! I’ll post when she comes here!
This record is inspired by NOLA and very unusual – I defy you to not hum Birds Fly Away after you hear it. :-)
Also: I would have missed this entirely if not for Twitter… I guess I’m a convert! LOL
