I saw an article about the government/military dumping chemical weapons in the oceans from WWI onward at CommonDreams.org and it got me thinking about the horrible stuff that has been dumped in East Tennessee where I was raised.
The Atomic Museum in Oak Ridge TN (now called the American Museum of Science and Energy) has a room dedicated to huge posters that list all the crap that was dumped and/or buried during the Manhattan Project and beyond. It is bone chilling to read that dangerous chemicals that could cause birth defects and worse were dumped 20 miles from where you were born THE SAME YEAR YOU WERE BORN.

I’m sure there’s plenty more to be had, but this is more than enough for you to get the idea that the government is NOT here to babysit you – it’s the other way round. WE must be vigilant about what our government/military does. Trust me, they do NOT think of the overall good, they think of what is most expedient for them. Remember that.
