We have been busy little beavers this weekend. With the building of the art shed imminent, there is a lot of yard prep to be done. For instance, a metric asston of privet must be removed from the area where the shed is to be. This is the pile of privet we removed:
On Friday, I saw a big bug on the hummer feeder post and went to investigate. I found a big fat cicada who was in the mood for photos:

And finally, this morning Missy the Great Cow Huntress brought us a chipmunk. A LIVE chipmunk! Nick heard a scuffling in the bathroom (which is her room, apparently) when he looked in the tub, there was a chipmunk. Missy was keen to know what we were doing with her prey, so we chucked her in the bedroom while we removed it. Nick told me, then proceeded to put on jeans and boots to wrangle this poor small rodent! LOL He’s a funny, funny man!
Anyway, I got a trashcan and a cookie sheet and scooped up the poor varmint and took him to the yard. I shall dub him Lucky! Here he is:

So, Lucky jumped out of the trashcan and scampered into the hedgerow with a few loud chirps. We’ll probably see him again – without his head!
Hope you enjoyed this week’s installment of Show & Tell!
