So, my feelings of unease were, indeed justified. I now have a mild upper respiratory thing. A little congestion, a cough hanging out at the top of my lungs. Nice. Oh, and now, as I look at my thermometer, a 99.3ºF temp to go with it.

BLARGH!

Gods, I can’t believe it’s Friday already. This week has been a blur. Dealing with The Stupidâ„¢ has worn me completely out. I really don’t know how some people can work with morons day in and day out without completely losing their minds. I know I certainly can’t. Just 4 days and I’m whipped.

Anyway. I don’t feel 100%, either. I’ve had spotty sleep (even WITH sleeping pills) and my body is currently boycotting the idea of a menstrual cycle. Which is quite fine with me as long as I feel ok – but I don’t. Hell, I wish the whole system would dry up and fall out, thus saving the trouble of all the hormones, bad moods, feeling like shit, insomnia, and general hatred of the whole ‘being a girl’ thing. It sucks. If you are not a breeder (which I am SO totally NOT, for those of you who are new here and are unfamiliar with my hatred of sniveling brats) then I really don’t see the need for all this bother. It should be optional equipment, IMO. Really, the only thing I like about being a girl is that I can occasionally get my way by batting my big blue eyes. Oh, and I do like to drive men wild. Flirting is fun. Otherwise, being a girl pretty much sucks.

Well, at least I’m not a dumb boy. Boys are just plain DUMB. Just take a quick peek at the Darwin Awards. See? Mostly guys. Poor things, hindered by that pesky Y chromosome. Heh, reading a few of those has lifted my spirits a bit. :-)

I’ve got to get up from here and get the damn payables done then start the inventory. AND deliver a check to an employee who the manager “forgot” to put into the system. For TWO goddam weeks. ::sigh:: See what I mean? Blargh!

Well, my lovely Sadist is back and so is my Dani! Yay! My lovely boy gave me a 1Gb Shuffle for V Day (yes, he gave it to me early cuz I had a crappy day yesterday and because he simply cannot NOT give geeky gifts as soon as he buys them). I totally looooooove my shuffle! You’d be amazed at just how many MP3s you can shove on a 1Gb Shuffle! Hours of techno goodness!

Oh, gods, what else? Well, I finally talked to Rob and got my new job description for the Moon. I’ll be doing more driving and more organizing and more, well, more everything! Also, I asked for and got a raise, which makes me happy. I don’t know how much, but it really doesn’t matter. I just wanted some sort of raise since I’ve been doing this for 2+ years now and I deserve a raise. :-)

Tomorrow is Oracle day, I’m behind on getting their content up. If I can get my momentum, I can get the whole thing done tomorrow.

The logo gig is going slowly and I’ve decided to not take on too much more of that gig. I can do a little site maintenance, but with the Moon expanding into more of my life, I won’t have a helluva lot of time to offer. Eh, well.

Now I’ve got birthdays and Valentine’s day to organise and buy for. I got the family cards out today but I still have Denna and Dani to buy for. We’re taking Dave to see Pink Panther on Saturday afternoon then we’ll take him to dinner.

Guess that’s it for now. There’s more, but my sweetie just got in from work and I need to get some food started.

I started this entry on Sunday, but then wandered off. So, I’m gonna try it again and NOT wander off this time!

Lessee, I think I was giving a shoutout to Russ and Heather for a great time Saturday. Sorry that the hair color remover didn’t work out, but we’ll try it again with stronger stuff, ok, Heather? :-)

Sunday we were going to do some running around and shopping, but my cramps sent me to the couch. Blargh. That’s also why I forgot to finish my post, btw.

Monday was about finishing the inventory and getting Oracle started for Feb. Yay for the laptop that allowed me to work through the storms!

So, here it is Tuesday and I’m sitting around killing some time before I have to go pick up my work from Rob. ::sigh:: I’m in a bit of a mood today… sort of cranky and a bit misanthropic, too. I ran across some old psychological stuff I’d done about 5 years ago and read through that earlier. It was from some self help book, no doubt, where you have to write answers to questions about your past, etc. I guess it brought up old feelings about things I’d rather not waste time on now, but it was also interesting to note some very real changes in myself since then. Good changes! Yay me!

But, now it’s almost 1pm and I’ve got to get up, get dressed and go fetch my work for this week. Hope everyone has a great week!
