Short Con Post

OMG.

Comic-Con is THE con. Yes, it’s big. Yes, it’s intense. But overall, it’s just a con. Which is a good thing.

They have got registration and managing the crowds to a science – and it’s due to STAFF. Real, PAID staff. They are a non-profit and it shows. All autograph sessions are FREE. The one problem being that you can’t get in to the big ones (Sorry, Hannah, no Tori signing. But we did get some really good pix of her at her booth. Also: the Tattoo book is a BOOK, not a comic. It’s huge and $30. Good news is that you can buy it online from Image Comics.)

I’ve got some great con quotes:

– Cute girl: …and I asked if I could suck his neck for a minute and he said Sure!
– Guy: Could you hold my bag? Friend: OH! You are SO needy! Guy: Well, then could I have a hug?
– Torchwood  Panel:  Capt.  Jack: There’s a lot of John [Barrowman] in Capt Jack. Yanto [Gareth David-Lloyd]: There’s a lot of Yanto, too!
– at Top Cow [publishing] booth: Herd it through the Bo-vine.
-  Terry Moore: I  would stop the car, put it in park and walk over to look at a monkey! [talking about how much guys love monkeys]

It’s been an awesome con! We are currently at the hotel up from a disco nap. We were out late last night with Andy and Ellen. And tonite it’s off with Kelly and Ted. Yay!

Gotta get ready to go back and try to get into the Mythbusters panel – good luck on that one. Today [Sat] is the busiest day and it’s very packed. More on the Con later.
