I <3 our Mondays off. We work some, play some, hang out and have lunch. It’s one of the best bennies of Nick’s job.
We saw Kate one last time last night. She’s off to England for school. She stopped by here and was going to stay before her latest crush texted her to tell her he was home. Ahh, to be 21 again. I got crushes, too. She bitched at me for trying to be her mom – which is not true, but she is 21 and any questions about her whereabouts will send her into a fit of rebellion. It’s to be expected I suppose. I love her to death but you can’t really be close to a 21 year old. They have their head firmly implanted up their asses and it’s all about them – which precludes a truly close relationship IMO. I just have to remember to ask nothing, which is a tall order for someone as nosey as I am! LOL
I suppose it’s business as usual for me this week. I hope we find out something regarding the restaurant. I know what will happen: as soon as I’m getting ready to take my trip everything will hit and there’ll be gobs of work to do. Which will totally suck balls. The 24th is the target date and I hope it sticks. My biggest challenge will be rounding up Oracle early, but I did it this month so I hope I can do it again for Oct.
