Why YES, yes I am. Lucky me. I’m sick to death of this goddam insomnia. At least it is (was) Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow (today) without feeling totally guilty about sleeping in. This shit has trashed my efforts to get up and exercise in the mornings…
Blargh.
At least there’s LJ and stuff to read, right? Right.
Well, here’s something to read over at BBC.com. This article about Digital Rights Management is spot on, at least for me it is. Just last week, I was gonna buy some tunes from iTunes but when I discovered the proprietary format of the files and the fact that you can’t use them on any computer other than the one you download to, I decided against it. Know what? I’d rather buy the whole goddamn cd or just wait to come across the MP3 somewhere. Screw the RIAA and DRM. What good is an MP3 if I can’t even put it on my server?
This is the same bullshit that we dealt with when cassette tapes came out AND when CDs came out. Remember that, kiddies? Remember when CDs came out and the music industry had a hissy fit about people reselling them used? It was EXACTLY the same arguments and tactics. Fuckers. And, um, yah, I don’t see us without a music industry like they predicted then, so…
May I suggest that everyone go now and get yerself a file sharing program and start ripping? Heh.

Help me find some articles or something to convince the Russmonkey to get limewire. Itunes pisses me off too.
Great reading, keep up the great posts.
